About The ABA Doula: Behavioral Consultant Autism Support

My name is Clara Kenny. I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a doctorate in education, a Licensed Behavior Analyst, a university professor, and the director of a behavioral consulting practice. With over 20 years of experience in providing ABA therapy support, I've dedicated my career to helping schools and families understand behavior and build better systems around the kids who need it most.

I'm also the mom of a child on the autism spectrum.

That second part matters as much as the first. Because no matter how much I know about ABA, sitting across from a BCBA discussing my own child is a completely different experience than being the professional in the room. I know what it feels like to receive a treatment plan and not be sure whether it's the right one. I understand the tension of wanting to ask tough questions without being labeled a difficult parent. I know how much you love your kid and how desperately you want to get this right.

This combination of clinical expertise and lived experience is the foundation of The ABA Doula.

I founded this practice because families deserve to have someone in their corner who genuinely understands both sides—someone who can provide behavior analysis guidance without overwhelming you with jargon. Not someone who works for the ABA company, but someone who can sit with you, help you make sense of what's happening, and equip you with the tools to advocate for your child with confidence.
